About Us…

      Hello and welcome to Bash & Co.! In February 2015, Bash came roaring into our lives and thus began our adventures in parenting. From day 1, this photo-enthusiast and self-professed stylista mom documented every OOTD (for the guys reading this, that means Outfit of the Day), while DIYer dad hacked ingenious contraptions to solve any need. When he was born we heard many times “they grow up fast,” and it is so true! He is constantly changing and developing. It seems like every couple of months we are packing boxes of toys he out grew and clothes that no longer fit him. Trying to keep up can be a time consuming process, but it can also be fun. Bash & Co. is a place for us to share some of our family adventures, styles we like, and tips and tricks we’ve picked up along the way…mostly through trial and lots of error, but that’s parenting.

      Born and being raised in NYC, Sebastian “Bash” is a curious and energetic two and a half year old with a great spirit of adventure. He loves trains, planes, and automobiles, but most of all, exploring NYC.  His imagination and excitement at all things new never ceases to amaze us. Bash has an infectious smile that warms our hearts, a sweet personality, and killer dance moves.

      From worlds apart (Nick grew up in a log cabin in the foothills outside of Fresno, CA and Katie grew up in the leafy suburbs of Clayton “the bubble/the Lou”, MO), a chance meeting at the University of Chicago led to 10 long and happy years of dating (someone was dragging their feet, but we won’t point fingers).  After a romantic proposal in Paris on the Pont des Artes, we were married in 2013 in Santa Fe, NM.  After 15 years in Chicago, we are currently enjoying the adventures of living in NYC.  While Nick works in finance, Katie recently left the world of PowerPoint, status meetings and life on the road as a Strategy consultant to be a full-time mom for Bash.
